Dustin cares for the new species he believes he has discovered and nicknames it “Dart”. Bob advises Will to stand up to what’s scaring him in his nightmares. Frustrated with Hopper, Eleven decides to leave the cabin and venture out on her own. Jonathan and Nancy contact Barb’s mom, knowing the government is most likely listening to their phone call–and they are. Hopper learns the center of all the dead pumpkins is the Department of Energy. Joyce discovers the monster Will has been drawing is real. Dart grows legs and escapes from the kids at school just as Eleven arrives but doesn’t tell anyone. Meanwhile, Dustin finds Dart but doesn’t tell the group. Lastly, Will is completely enveloped by a dust tornado monster that’s been chasing him in the Upside Down.
